It is generally known that the actual origin of the word "jargon" is still unknown. “Jargon” was come from the 14th century. Modern definition of jargon can be sound like “an outlandish, technical language of a particular profession, group, or trade”. Another meaning of jargon is “unintelligible writing or talk.” Yet another definition is “specific dialects resulting from a mixture of several languages.” Because of some problems concerning with jargon understanding the only a few people may catch the actual terminology used by different groups of people, that may explain its origin.
According to Wikipedia jargon is “terminology that relates to a specific activity, profession or group”. As well as the slang, jargon also develops as a kind of stenography, in order to quickly express some ideas that are regularly discussed between members of a group. As it is clear from these observations that in many this may lead to a barrier of communication as many may not catch; from academic point of view, “argot is a secret language used by various groups’ members, including thieves and other criminals, in order to prevent outsiders from understanding their conversations.” It is well-known fact that in any profession sphere or occupation has its own jargon. Of course, as any aspect of language,
jargon also has distinctive features of being changed. Many jargon terms came into the standard language. Jargon extends from a limited group until it is used and understood by a larger group of people, the same as the slang.
